Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak in the Philippines, the KMC Foundation recognized the risk of perinatal transmission of the disease to premature/ small babies and newborns in general, as well as the risk to the healthcare professionals caring for them. It was along this line that the neonatal aerosol intubation box project was conceptualized and launched in the first week of April.

With support from family and friends, funds were raised to deliver241boxes to155hospitals nationwide, upon request of Neonatologists in key hospitals around the country. The project has officially ended last May 31, 2020 having completed all requests received over the two-month period and all funds received duly accounted for. We thank all fund donors to this project, the Neonatologists and Pediatricians of key hospitals who gave us this opportunity assist them during this pandemic, toNestor Galeno Dabiof the Armed Forces of the Philippines for their distribution of the boxes outside the NCR, and for the collaboration of key persons whose commitment to serve our countrymen made this project possible:Ms. Marie Beatrice DL. Mendoza(Bless Microfinance Corporation),Ms. Ruth Valorie Catabijan(Aerosol Box PH), andMs. Andrea Bilbao(Intercoastal Int'l Technologies Corp).
